How do I book a trailer?
Booking with Republic Trailer Rentals is simple and 100% automated. Choose your trailer, select your rental dates, complete the secure checkout, and you will instantly receive your pickup instructions and gate access code via SMS/Email.
Do I need a commercial account to rent?
No. We serve both professional contractors and homeowners. Whether you have a massive jobsite or a small backyard project, our fleet is available for everyone.
What do I need to bring to pick up my trailer?
Your booking process is 100% automated, so your identity and insurance verification are completed digitally after you book. You only need a vehicle with a properly rated tow capacity for the trailer you have rented. Please ensure your vehicle is fully equipped and prepared to safely tow the weight of the trailer and its load.
Operations & Usage
How does the “Zero-Touch” pickup work?
Once your booking is confirmed, you will immediately receive your secure gate access PIN via SMS/Email. Please note that you must still complete your Identity Verification (via Stripe), your Pre-Departure Inspection, and your Rental Agreement before departure, which will be included in the E-mail or SMS. Failure to complete these mandatory forms will result in the forfeiture of your entire security deposit, and you will be held liable for any and all damages to the trailer.
How daily rentals work:
Our trailers are booked by the day, giving you maximum flexibility for your project. If you book a trailer for a specific date (e.g., May 15th), you have access to that trailer from 12:00 AM until 11:59 PM on that calendar day. This allows you to pick up and utilize the equipment on your own schedule throughout that entire 24-hour period. Please ensure the trailer is returned to our facility before the 11:59 PM deadline to avoid late fees.
Travel & Return Policy
You are free to take the trailer anywhere within the continental United States, provided it is returned to our designated Allen, TX facility by the end of your specified rental period. Please ensure your travel plans account for potential traffic or delays to avoid late return fees.
GPS Tracking & Asset Security
For the safety of our fleet, all Republic Trailer Rentals are equipped with advanced, real-time GPS tracking devices. We monitor trailer location, geofencing, and movement 24/7. Any unauthorized movement or attempt to tamper with security equipment will be treated as theft and reported to local law enforcement.
Trailer Operation Tips
• Safety First: Always double-check your hitch connection and safety chains before leaving the lot.
• Weight Distribution: For dump and utility trailers, center your load over the axles to ensure stable towing.
• Tire Pressure: Check your towing vehicle’s tire pressure before departing, especially if you are hauling heavy loads.
• Speed: Remember that a loaded trailer requires significantly more distance to stop. Maintain a safe following distance and avoid abrupt braking.
• Lighting: Before you pull away, test your trailer’s brake lights and turn signals with an assistant or by checking your vehicle’s dash.
What if the trailer is returned late?
We rely on a strict schedule to ensure the next renter has the equipment they need. Late returns are subject to a daily fee equal to our standard day rate, plus any additional costs incurred if we are forced to cancel subsequent bookings.
What should I do in case of a breakdown?
Safety first. If you experience a mechanical failure, pull over safely and contact our 24/7 support line immediately. Do not attempt to repair the trailer yourself.
Payments & Policies
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A security deposit is required for all rentals to cover potential damages, cleaning fees, or late returns. Your deposit will be automatically released back to your card following a post-rental inspection of the equipment.
Can I cancel my booking?
• Cancellations made 48+ hours before pickup are eligible for a full refund (minus processing fees).
• Cancellations within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
Are there cleaning fees?
We expect the trailer to be returned in the same condition as you received it. If a trailer is returned with excessive debris, trash, or mud, a cleaning fee will be deducted from your security deposit.
Prohibited Uses: Our trailers may not be used for illegal activities, transport of hazardous materials, off-roading, or subleasing. Please refer to our full Terms and Conditions for a complete list of prohibited uses.
Damage Responsibility: By booking, you accept full responsibility for any and all damages incurred to the trailer during your rental period. Completion of the pre-departure and post-return inspections is mandatory to protect your deposit.
